My charger never reaches the final step. Is my charger faulty?
No, this is normal behaviour. The final step is the maintenance program, which has two stages:
FLOAT
The battery is fully charged.
The charger maintains it at about 13.6 V with a very low current for up to 10 days.PULSE
After 10 days, the charger switches to the long-term Pulse maintenance stage.
It monitors the battery’s voltage and applies short charging pulses when needed to keep the battery in good condition.
This automatic cycle protects the battery and ensures long-term health and performance.
